One of the great advantages of staying in Santa Clara is being able to combine the city with the beach. The Villa Clara cays —Santa María, Ensenachos and Las Brujas— form the country's second sun-and-beach destination after Varadero, reached by the pedraplén: a 48-kilometre causeway built over Buenavista Bay.

- Las Brujas: around 60-65 km, about 1 hour. The nearest cay.
- Cayo Santa María: 94 km from Santa Clara, 1 h 45 min to 2 hours.
- Ensenachos: 115 km, close to 2 hours.
In other words: under two hours by car, not one hour.
What you will find
Cayo Las Brujas
The smallest and easiest for a day trip, with quiet beaches, a marina and good diving.
Cayo Ensenachos
At just 1.7 km², the most untouched of the three, with 2.6 km of white sand at Ensenachos and Mégano beaches.
Cayo Santa María
The largest and most developed: 21.4 km² and almost thirteen kilometres of continuous beach, including La Estrella and Perla Blanca.
