Conditions

Here are the booking conditions, the house rules and how we handle your data. They are written in plain language, with no small print.

Cancellation policy

The 33% of the booking total, charged as a deposit, is not refundable.

If the booking is paid in full or in part, any amount paid above the deposit is subject to the following policy:

Cancellation within 48 hours of booking: any amount paid above the deposit will be refunded.
Cancellation between 30 and 7 days before arrival: any amount paid above 50% of the booking total will be refunded.
Cancellation within 7 days before arrival: no refund.

If you booked through Airbnb, that platform's cancellation conditions apply, which may differ from those shown here.

Check-in and check-out

Check-out Before 11:00

If you arrive outside the usual hours, let us know and we will wait for you: we live in the house. You can also leave your luggage before check-in or after check-out at no cost.

House rules

Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms. You may smoke in the patio and outdoor areas.
Pets are not allowed.
Please keep noise down after 22:00, out of respect for other guests and the family.
Visitors must be announced in advance. They may not stay overnight unless registered on the booking.
For safety reasons, personal cooking appliances may not be used in the rooms.
Please use the air conditioning with the windows closed, to avoid straining the solar system.
Any damage to furniture or equipment will be charged at replacement cost.
Access to the roof and the battery room is not allowed without a member of staff.

Children and groups

Children are welcome. The base rate includes two guests per room; from the third guest a supplement of USD 8 per night applies, regardless of age. For groups needing both rooms, ask us on WhatsApp and we will give you a combined price.

Payment

Payment is made on arrival. We accept cash in Cuban pesos (CUP), US dollars and euros, and also cryptocurrency if notified in advance. Additional services (breakfasts, parking, laundry, tours) accumulate on the room account and are settled at check-out with a detailed invoice.

Important: international cards (Visa, Mastercard) do not work reliably in Cuba and ATMs fail frequently. We recommend bringing cash in notes. Euro notes usually get a better rate than dollars.

Privacy and data protection

The data you give us when booking or writing to us (name, email, phone, country and stay dates) is used exclusively to manage your booking, comply with the legal obligations for registering travellers and communicate with you before and during your stay. We do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes or use it for advertising.

This site uses only technical cookies necessary for the session to work and to remember the chosen language. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data at any time by writing to us by email or WhatsApp.

Liability

The guesthouse is not responsible for the loss or deterioration of valuables not deposited in the room safe. Nor is it responsible for interruptions to services outside the house (power grid, internet or water supply), although the photovoltaic system is precisely designed to minimise the impact of power cuts.
